Boys Class S
While many Class champs were winning their umpteenth title, Stonington like the Sheehan girls were winning their first. Joshua Mooney and Ryan Gruczka both picked up gold and silver in individual events as Mooney was 1st in the 55H and 2nd in the 55m along with a 5th in the 300m while Gruczka took the 1000m, got 2nd in the 3200m, and anchored the Bears' winning 4x800m squad.
Weaver's Malcolm Beckford continued his winning ways as CT's #1 55m and 300m runner and led the Beavers' winning 4x200m team, and at the other end, Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger powered in the 1600m and 3200m, getting the meet record in the latter.
The field event winners were also impressive as Bloomfield's Robert Dunkley equaled his CT #2 height of 6-4 in the high jump, Nicholas Rivard-Lentz moved up to CT #3 with a 13-0 pole vault, Tyler Turner leaped to CT #1 at 21-6 in the long jump, and Alex Krause added 2 1/2 feet to his indoor PR to move to CT #3 at 49-5.
