CIAC Class Championship Wrap-up: Streakers and Shockers

Girls Class S

Bloomfield won its 12th straight Class title and 18th overall (along with 2 Open championships), and the Warhawks did the job in convincing fashion with a 92-42-40 triumph over East Hampton and Old Saybrook. When a team scores that many points, obviously a lot of athletes are involved, but special standouts for Bloomfield included D'Jior Delisser with wins in the high jump and long jump and a 2nd in the 55m, and Johniece Jones with a 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the 55H and 5th in the long jump. On a young Warhawk team, freshmen Kiylah and Aisha Williams finished 2nd and 5th in the 600m also impressed on relays where Bloomfield captured the 4x200m and 4x400m.

CT top distance runner Rachel St. Germain cruised to wins in the 1600m and 3200m, Nancy Inthasit ran a CT #5 time to take the 55m. and Lauren Manning captured the 600m and led the Immaculate 4x800m team to victory. Alison Vigue added 9 inches to her PR at 11-0 to go to CT #2 in the pole vault.
