Two storied Beast programs here. In 2016 the Huntington squad of Lawrence Leake, Shane McGuire, Kyree Johnson, and Infinite Tucker won by almost 2 1/2 seconds at States and then went on to win at Nationals with a state record time of 3:10.93. The next year it was Newburgh's turn to impress as it beat Huntington by more than 5 seconds in a meet record 3:12.79 to blow away Middletown's mark of 3:13.98 in 2010. The Goldback squad of Jordan Lawrence, Brendan Hanson, Stephen Scott, and Robert Walker than ran 0.15 seconds faster at Nationals but finished 3rd. | ||||
