Recap: When the race dawdled through the opening 800m, Bravo knew he was in good position. Already the State Leader in the 1000m, he had the speed to kick with the best of them. He made his move with only a handful of laps to go, and only Kal Lewis was able to hang on. Lewis, who had a kick of his own as demonstrated in XC, kept stride with Bravo, but couldn't close the gap before the race concluded.
