Recap: It's not about the distance, but about the victory. Neither Braxton nor Saunders came within a foot of their Personal Best, but they both cracked 40-feet, and the competition came down to a single half-inch. Saunders hit a winning distance on her first attempt, but Braxton came back with her Silver medal jump at the fifth attempt. A foul on her final would pass the torch back to Saunders, who returned to the top of the podium after winning her Sophomore year.
