As in the 300m battle of the top 2 seeds, the 1600m featured another go-round of the Class LL duel. Kate Hedlund and Jenna Zydanowicz ran together for seven laps and the top-seed Hedlund fought off a last challenge on the final turn to finish up at 5:00.49. Zydanowicz was 2nd less than two seconds behind, and S champ Liv DiStefano was 3rd. Sophomores Kali Holden and Anna Keeley set themselves up well for the future behind the top three seniors with the next two places, and last year's runner-up Kathryn Rodrigues captured the 6th spot. On the relay side, Zydanowicz anchored the 3rd place Danbury 4x800m team, and Holden ran a leg in that race for 6th place Trumbull.
