Top seeded Wilbur Cross took the lead in the seeded section and ran comfortably ahead except for a challenge from Conard at the beginning of the anchor leg, and Governors were the champs at 1:32.18. In a theme that was to be repeated in the 4x400m, Bloomfield off of more relaxed times in Class S ran out in front in the unseeded third section and laid down a 2nd place time ahead of Jonathan Law from the seeded section. Brien McMahon got 4th from the unseeded section, while Conard from the seeded section and Simsbury from the unseeded were 5th and 6th.
