Boys Class S

Team Scores: Bloomfield 111, Haddam-Killingsworth 51, East Hampton 36, Old Saybrook, 28, Sports Science 20


Sprints

Class S sprints was a mix of old, new, borrowed, and blue. CT sprint leader Keith Berrouet of Sports Science ran just .01 off his season's best and .02 off the meet record to win the 55m in 6.41. He was beaten out in the 300m by last year's 55m champ Kymali Hay of Bloomfield who had finished 2nd in the 300m in 2019. Cooper Luciani of Old Saybrook brought back the old times with a repeat win the 600m. The blue part maybe comes from Windham's navy and maroon attired Enrique Lopez Garcia who finished 1st in the 55m hurdles ahead of Northwest Catholic's Lorenzo Garcia, who was 2nd for the second straight year.

Distance

Haddam-Killingworth's Matt Jennings scored a CT #2 time in the 1000m to beat out East Hampton's Jacob Ireland.who clocked a CT #3. Ireland got his win in the 1600m, and Terryville's Chris Deforest was all by himself in  a lightly attended 3200m.

Field

Bloomfield senior Sean Dixon-Bodie put on a show in winning the high jump and long jump., both events for which he is ranked #2 in CT. Old Saybrook's Cody DeAngelo captured the pole vault at 13-6. And with a lot of clapping and stomping going on, Bloomfield's Mike Campbell threw a CT #1 59-4.5 to win the shot put.

Relays

Bloomfield's CT top ranked 4x200m and 4x400m teams breezed to wins, while East Catholic won the 4x800m and Haddam-Killingsworth won the SMR.
