Two track champions appear set to battle for the long jump title as top seeded and reigning champ Chelsea Mitchell goes for air time against LL champ Tess Stapleton in 18 or 19 foot territory. Meilee Kry and Kisha Francois are seeded 3rd at 17-3-25 and finished 3rd and 4th last year behind Mitchell and Stapleton. Three other LJers who have shown they can go over 17-6 are Lauren Roy, Bianca Kave, and Peyton McNamara.
Record Hunt: Both Mitchell and Stapleton have gone close to the state record this year, so it wouldn't take a great leap of faith to believe a new record could be landed here.
