Samantha Forrest comes in with the best seed time from her win in the LL meet, while LL 2nd place finisher Nyia White is top ranked in the state. Everything appears to be set up for another incredible battle down the stretch and the win going to whoever gets the best lean. Last year Forrest was 4th. The wild card here will be Class S champ Chelsea Mitchell who is among the favorites in the 55m and long jump and could still have plenty left later in the day for the 300m. M champ Mariella Schweitzer and L champ Jalah Cooper are not far behind. Mitchell, Schweitzer, and Cooper all won their Class races by more than a second.
Record Hunt: Taking down Precious Holmes' meet and state records from eight years ago would be a very tall order.
