NYSAIS Boys Recap

Wrap-up

Joining the Trinity girls as first-time winner in the NYSAIS were the Hackley Hornets, and again by a big margin of 39 points. Hackley wasn't that deep, but it had five guys in the top 13 led by Jonah Gorevic in 2nd, Brendan Distefano in 7th, Charlie Rudge in 10th, and Will Rifkin and James Spencer in 12th and 13th.

Packer Collegiate was 2nd led by top 10 finishers Aidan Jelveh and Peter Cembalest, Collegiate led by George Nicholson in 11th was 3rd and reigning champ Trinity was 4th led by Nikhil Denatale's 4th place. Theo Dassin was 5th, and his Ethical Culture-Fieldston team came up for 5th.

Like Elizabeth Mauro the AIS girl's winner, Ryan Eagan of Browning was flying under the radar because his school runs in the unrated NYCAL league meets. Eagan finished 6 seconds ahead of Hackley's Jonah Gorevic, while Nathaniel Oakes if Riverdale Country Day was 3rd, Trinity's Nikhil Denatale 4th, and Fieldston's Theo Dassin was 5th.
