The 12 Biggest New York Marks From New Balance Nationals This Year

One Final Hurdle

Who: Tai Brown (Midwood)

What Place:  6th Place in Championship 60HH Final.

Why: Heading into Nationals, Tai Brown was a known entity.  He had taken second at States the week before by a thousandth of a second, but already was tied for NY #3 All-Time in the 60HH from last year, as well as NY #4 in the 100HH Outdoors.  That speed returned at Nationals, as he twice hit under 7.90, ultimately landing at 7.88, taking 6th in the Championship Final.

That mark now breaks his tie for third All-Time in the 60H, giving him the position to himself.  Also significant was the 55m split for that final, where Brown went 7.296 for the 55HH.  That mark pushes him all the way to NY #4 in the the 55HH hurdles as well, solidifying in the Top 5 for all three possible sprint hurdle events in NY.  Not a bad weekend, indeed.
