The 12 Biggest New York Marks From New Balance Nationals This Year

Onwards and Upwards

Who: Charles Crispi (Monsignor Farrell)

What Place: 5th in the Championship Pole Vault

Why: Senior Charles Crispi keeps on raising the bar, and now finds himself in rarefied air.  Taking 5th overall in the Pole Vault final, falling back from forth based on prior misses, Crispi comes away with a new Personal Best of 16-5.25.

That is now NY #3 All-Time for the Pole Vault, as well as the highest mark by a NY Catholic School athlete ever.  It ranks US #3 All-Time for all Catholic Schools, trailing the Catholic Record set by Chip Heuser (St. Xavier, KY) at 17-0 from 2003.  With good attempts at 16-9.25, the sky is the limit for Crispi outdoors.
