The 12 Biggest New York Marks From New Balance Nationals This Year

Making The Big Show

Who: Cardinal Hayes

What Place: 5th Place in 4x200m Championship Final

Why: State Leaders Cardinal Hayes made the big show, qualifying for the 4x200m Finals at New Balance Nationals.  They are the first NY Team to do so in quite some time, and although they didn't match their qualifying heat mark, they still took 5th overall, medaling.

But it was that Qualifying time that will put Hayes into History.  Their mark of 1:28.72 is now NY #9 All-Time.  It's the fastest mark by a NY Catholic School ever, and is the only school not from the PSAL (or named Newburgh) in the Top 20 All-Time.  Uniondale, who ran 1:29.12 for 7th, joins them in that honor.
