Breakdown: With Erica Ellis forgoing her junior scholastic indoor campaign, all eyes fall to senior Alana Carroll to take the title. She was NY No. 2 last year, and then took third at country. With a best of 13-0 from outdoors, she'll try to replicate that height indoors.
Bonus - Other notable field event entrants are reigning high jump state champ My 'Khiyah Williams, looking to get closer and closer to the 6-foot bar. Also entered is Ashley Walsh in the shot put, the state's top returner. Juel Charles already put one over Walsh's best last year, so expect a return performance here in order to get back on top.
