Summary:  Last year Poly Prep ended Hackley's three-year reign as AIS champions as a very young Blue Devils team surged at the end of the season to score a surprise 62-65 win over Convent of the Sacred Heart. This year Hackley again looks ready to return to the winner's podium with a team that includes a strong top 3. The Horner leader is reigning champ junior Olivia Curran who has been juggling a big stint at the world triathlon championships with XC and is returning from an injury, so her status will very much affect the outcome of the race. If Curran is up there with teammates Caroline Stevenson and Eve Spencer, then the Hornets should win. If Curran cannot go, then the AIS battle becomes a very close 4-way affair between Hackley, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Trinity, and Poly Prep. With Curran trying to fight her way back from the injury, Marymount freshman Lauryn Heskin becomes the big favorite for the individual title. The last repeat winner was Brearley's Emily de la Bruyere in 2010.
