Snapshot: The young guns of New York were on showcase here, as 8th Grader Megan McLaughlin (East Aurora) took the overall win, and freshman Hannah Ielfield (South Lewis) took third.  Sandwiched between them was reigning Class C Champ Hayleigh Palotti (Livonia)East Aurora took the team win convincingly over Class D South Lewis, and was the top Class B team of the meet.

Questions Answered: East Aurora took fifth overall in the merge, proving they are the Class B team to beat this season.

Questions Raised: Class B has two eighth graders going head-to-head at States this year.  Can Megan McLaughlin come out on top?

Snapshot: It was a big race for junior Ryan Guerci (Nanuet), as he came away with the second fastest time of the day in his win here.  Ian Russ (East Aurora) was caught in a gap of 30 seconds both in front and behind him, but still managed a strong second place.  Watkins Glen came up with a big win over Class B East Aurora, with a 12-point margin.

Questions Answered: Watkins Glen had a 40-point gap over every other Class C team, showing they are on a strong path to repeat their State Title.

Questions Raised: After a breakout race, can Guerci repeatthe performance?  Class B might be the toughest race at States this year for Individuals, and with Nate Lawler and the Fuscos around, the top is getting mighty crowded, Guerci included.
