A pair from Sachem East set out on a mission this summer; to create a true, original running music video. Sachem East Alumnus, and current Girls Assistant XC Coach, Peter McNeil joined forces with recent alumnus, Jill Manfredi to undertake the task. Manfredi, a veteran of the 2015 team that placed 4th at Feds, is currently at student athlete at Oneonta State.
The original song is written and performed by McNeil, along with fellow recreational runner Chris Visco. The video features Erin MacDonell, a Sayville HS grad who was the 2016
Skyline Conference X-C Champion running for St Joseph's College. The
other protagonist is Conor Dolan,
who ran for Sachem North and Adelphi University, but there are cameos
from a number of College and open runners, including Sachem Alum and 2
time Olympian Maria Michta-Coffey and US High School record holder
Lauren Harris, who is now up at Marist College.
