State of the Action: South Shore set the meet record at Cornell, a notoriously slow track for the 4x200m event. While they may have graduated some key legs, South Shore is looking to break their own meet record with a much faster track. However, it will be Newland's 6th event after Trials and Finals, so they will need a big effort from all involved. Uniondale, Cardinal Hayes, and McQuaid are all right there, and will be happy to make up the difference if a stick gets dropped. One team to watch out for is Niagara Falls, whose best seed time is from the flat tracks upstate. To do so on a track that's not even 200m around, indicates their seed will improve dramatically when they attend Ocean Breeze. Could they pull the biggest upset of the meet? | |||||
