Boys Relays
Event: 4x200m
Breakdown: Imhotep Charter is US #1 at 1:27.55 from the New Balance Games, one of the fastest times ever run at the Armory. But they'll have to drop a half-second to challenge that meet record. South Shore looks to hold off New York State, while St. Peter's and Central will represent others from the northeast.
Event: 4x400m
Breakdown: No New York team has broken 3:20 yet, but the State's best ranked squads are all here. Glen Mills and Abington are both around 3:24-flat, so they'll need a jump to challenge the leader. Huntington returns three from their State Record relay last year, and must be considered the top dogs in the field.
Event: 4x800m
Breakdown: Everyone in the field will have a singular goal; to break the 8min barrier. Staples, the NXN-Qualifying team from CT, is the closest, running 8:00.36 at Yale for US #5. St. Peter's comes in at US #12 with their 8:01.66, and a sub-8 mark would be the first for them since the 90's. Plenty more capable as well, so keep your eyes on this race, to close out the weekend.
