Of all the matchups, this is the highest caliber battle on the rankings. Daniel Claxton (Smithtown East) is currently US #1 in the event, with his 6'11 clearance at a Section 11 Crossover. But he'll be facing off against Kyle Garland (Germantown Academy), who is US #2 at 6'10. Claxton hasn't been lower than 6-9 all season, with a 6-10 win at the Stanner Games. He'll need to use this matchup as practice for when his biggest in-state competitor, Jyles Etienne, returns from his basketball career.
