It looks to be a four man battle out front in the 800m. The real battle will be between Dave Whitfield (Arch. Prendergast) and Ben Bulkeley (Fairport). Whitfield has a 1:53.58 to his name, while Bulkeley has a 1:53.70 of his own. Bulkeley also holds a New York State Class Record over the 1000m, so the credentials are there for both of them.
However, Nick Crociata (Hauppauge) won't be content to sit back and watch, as he carries his own best of 1:54.99 into the fray. So does Hudson Delisle (Quakertown, PA), who has a 1:55.61 to his name. US #3 will require to break under 1:54.00, and this is the field to do so.
