National Leaders Come Fast At Stanner Games

Girls Varsity Highlights

55m - 6.94 - US #2

Halle Hazzard (St. Anthony's) keeps moving up the rankings, as she won the event in another strong performance, slowly making her the favorite for the State Title.

300m - 37.11 - US #1

Syndey McLaughlin (Union Catholic, NJ) stole the show at the Stanner Games, showing what it means to be a 2016 Olympian.  With ease, she pulled away from the crowd, and bettered her own US #2 All-Time mark in the process.  She's chasing down that National Record of 39.96 by Francena McCorory.

600m - 1:32.64 - US #1

Page Keefer (West Babylon) has solidified herself as the fourth fastest Long Islander over 600m ever, with a new national leader in the event.  She ran away from the crowd from the gun, a strategy that worked to her advantage.

1000m - 2:53.61 - US #11

Lily Flynn (Ursuline) nearly matched her personal best in her debut for the event.  She ran away from the field when pressed, and put in a strong performance.  Although she is US #11, she only moves to NY #8 when taking out the rest of the country, showing how strong the event is this year.
