The Trailer: Shoreham-Wading
River dominated the season's rankings for Class B and then went on to
score a 51-68 decision over the reigning state champion John Jay-Cross
River at Chenango Valley. Though they missed a bid to NXN Nationals
after a 3rd place finish in the NXN-NY qualifier, the Wildcats'
Katherine Lee was tops at NXN-NY and then went on to finish 10th at
Nationals. East Aurora, Burnt Hills, and Cornwall finished 3-4-5 at
States, but it was Notre Dame that took the 2nd spot in the rankings,
the highest ever for a CHSAA team in the state rankings after taking a
CHSAA best-ever 7th in the Federation championship.
