2016 New York Federation Championships Preview

Boys Individual Race

Breakdown: Recent Penn State commit Noah Carey was neck-and-neck with eventual Champion Ty Brownlow with 200m to go at States.  Despite a fade that cost him the race, Carey looks to rebound at Feds as one of the favorites.  It would be the second ever individual Fed title for the Section 2 school, last winning in 2005.  But there will be plenty of challengers looking to upset.  Davone Hernandez has been having a breakout season, and could steal one in the final stretch.  Nobody knows the course better than Section 1, and with Sam Morton and Class C State Champ Ryan Gallagher at the front, experience could trump speed.  This one is so close, the title is up in the air, so a lean at the line may be required.
