Girls Class C Individuals
Breakdown: This will be Brianna O'Brien's first race off Long Island all season, but not her first against elevated competition. O'Brien has been tested at Saint Anthony's and Bethpage, putting together the best Section 8 performances of the season, amongst all classes. The biggest competition will come from Halyeigh Palotti, winner of one of the Pre-State races on the same course as States. Palotti has been known to stick on runners, with a strong kick at the end, and the strategy could lead to a big improvement here. Eva Borton had her best race of the year at Sectionals, yet had very little company to run with. Put her in a closer race, and she could be right in the mix as well.
