Girls Class D - Individuals
Breakdown: It's no secret that Class D has one athlete with a gap on the field. Brooke Rauber was the only underclassmen in the Top 6 at the State Meet last year, and returns as the heavy favorite. The race behind her is more up-for-grabs, as several athletes find themselves in close proximity. Brynne Wright will be the most motivated by valuable team points, as she is the only athlete representing a team in the Top 10. Molly MacQueen comes in with the most experience on the course, running the layout as recently as last week, at their sectional qualifier. The real question may be where Rauber ends up in the merge, as a way to gauge positioning for post-season. But anything can happen, and anyone can win.
