Notes: It's been an interesting two weeks for Noah Affolder, almost exactly mirroring his 2015 campaign.  After running 14:14 at McQuaid the week before, Affolder came to Manhattan to win in 12:14.  One year later, and Affolder dropped his McQuaid record by two seconds, and came back to Manhattan and dropped his course best by 4secs.  The consistency was key here, as Affolder once again got away from the pack.  Noah Carey, NY's top male athlete, gave plenty of chase down the backhills and past the dog park.  But Affolder threw in a surge with 200m to go that field could not respond to, and pulled away for the win.

The pursuit for the sub-12 would not find success, giving credence to Ed Cheserek's record being one of the hardest to break across the country.  King Ches managed to break 12mins twice, with the only other athlete to do so being Alex Ostberg, the favorite for Foot Locker before a late season injury.  The record lives for another year.
