Notes: Brooke Rauber became relevant to the world (although those in New York were well aware of the 2015 talent) when she broke up the Manlius Top 5 at the Chittenango Invite last week. Also of note, was the beginning of Lizzy Lucason's varsity campaign, later that same day. One week later, and the two youngest competitors in Section 3 are facing off. The race went out quick, led by a strong 1-2 punch for Cazenovia, in Meggie Hart and Clara Rowles. Lucason hung on their shoulder through the first mile, while Rauber waited patiently behind. As the pace became strained, both Rauber and Lucason broke free of the Caz duo, and made it a duel under the sun. The pair surged together through the second and third mile. As the finishing straight approached, Rauber pushed away from Lucason for the win. The girls from Cazenovia came through together after, almost in unison. | |||||

| Notes: There is some upward momentum at Jamesville-Dewitt. A week after placing 6th overall in the merge at Chittenango, as the Top Class B School, JD comes back with the overall win at ESM. Even more impressive is that they did it without Hannah Butler, who is currently favored to win the Class B Sectional Race, although it is still early in the season.
