After a fourth place in the 4x800m the night before, North Rockland was looking to move up the food chain. After setting the National Record Indoors, they were nothing less than the favorites down in North Carolina, and they sure ran like it. After exchanging in second on the 1200m leg, the Lady Raiders would never see the back of anyone's jersey throughout the race. Capped off with a strong 4:45.78 anchor for 1600m by 8th Grader Katelyn Tuohy, the girls of Thiells repeated their National Title outdoors.
The mark of 11:29.39 is a five second improvement on their mark from indoors. It stands as NY #2 All-Time behind Fayetteville-Manlius' 11:25, and makes for US #4 All-Time in the event.
