We would have said that this race would conclude a season of back and forth between Warwick and West Islip, but then Hauppauge
went and spoiled the party by running a strong state leader at Warwick
Fast Times. Still, there is history between Warwick and West Islip, as
Islip was the favorites for an indoor title before Warwick took them
down. West Islip got their revenge by making the COA at Penn Relays,
and beating Warwick head-to-head at Loucks. Both have a new threat to
worry about in Hauppauge, and it could come down to the anchor legs.
