State of the Action

This may be one of the most interesting match ups of the day in the distance events.  Eion Nohilly has steeple running in his blood, a multi-generational family trend.  However, Noah Affolder is the class of the field in open personal bests, not to mention his kick.  The gamble comes down to, can Nohilly clear the barriers faster than Affolder can sprint between them, especially after both of them race on Friday.

The dichotomy represents the Steeplechase well.  You either have the strength of a cross country runner, or the technique of a hurdler.  Very few have both, and when both talents converge, you have talents like Evan Jager arise.  There are plenty others in the race, but will need to see improvements past the pr's of the top two to grab the win.  Alex Tosi is your top D2 athlete, looking to move up the list as well.
