Well, it will be hard to live up to last years race, but this field is one who could do it. Prior to the race last year, many competitors PR's were much the same. After the race, and the world had changed for all involved. These athletes know that getting the win at Loucks won't be enough. To waste this field on a kickers race would be to kick away a gift of what could be a new personal best. Aidan Tooker is your top returner at 8:51.52. However, he's had some setbacks since indoor nationals, and will be looking to recover from an early season Penn performance with a win here. Conor Lundy is much improved since his outing last year, which was not to be understated to begin with. The big carrot on the stick for the La Salle trio is getting all three guys under 9mins, and a win wouldn't hurt either. Ben Petrella and Ryan Kutch are due for improvement, although both will have to not let the pace dawdle to stay in the race. Noah Affolder has yet to see sub-9 yet, but with improved Mile times, the change seems imminent. And then there are the unknowns of the field, channeling their inner Eli Moskowitz, who last year came in with a PR of 9:10, but left with an 8:44. Who is looking to take that kind of jump in 2016? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
