DAY ONE highlights included Julian Sheinbaum (Scarsdale) winning the 1600m run while Ramapo dominated the boys sprints. Kevin Malivert ran 10.90 in the 100m prelims and 21.92 in the 200m prelims. Teammate Mike Abelard ran 21.64 in the 200m prelims while Chidi Exemma ran 49.85 in the 400m prelims.

Scarsdale's Nelson Hall cleared 6-08 in the high jump, the best in the state this season.

North Babylon sophomore Vanessa Stewart won the shot put with a heave of 42-06. After putting the shot over 39 feet three times in the prelims with the glide technique, Stewart attempted to spin on her first throw in the finals and only managed a 33 foot effort. She then came back to the glide on her 2nd throw in the finals and unleashed the winning toss, saying "I was so angry," after that previous throw.
Carmel's Kristin Reese won the 3200m in 10:53.47.
Evan Flach from Suffern took charge with a mile to go to win the 5000m in 15:38.47
Suffern's Shelby Greany kicked past Bay Shore's Sarah McCurdy over the final 100m to win the 1600m in a meet record time of 4:57.28
Beacon's Max Schmidt won the triple jump with a 45-06 leap.

Scardale's Michelle Yousifian was the top 400m qualifier in 58.30.
