Bishop Loughlin Blowout: Previewing Year One At Ocean Breeze

Boys Sprints

55HH

Highlights
Cory Poole (East Orange, NJ) will be highlighting a packed field.  The World Youth Trials runner up in the 400mh is no slouch over the highs, but will be pushed by Tyler Lewis (Medgar Evers), one of the top returners in New York.  The field is wide open around them, just waiting for the next star to breakout.

55m

Highlights

One of the most up-for-grabs titles of the day, there are plenty of people to look for in the field.  NY #4 Tim Gibson (East Meadow) has the fastest time of the season, but Wyatt Brooks (North Rockland) is not one to be counted out.  Out-of-Towners like Trae Gibson (Winslow Township, NJ) and Jahmair Craig (Delaware Valley, PA) will also look to take the title away.

300m

Highlights

With most of NY's star sprinters graduating, there is a bit of a vacuum for clear favorites.   However, it seems like the neighboring states are more than ready to fill that hole.  CBA Lincroft's Mike Zupko will open his season here, after strong marks at MOC.  Jared Allen (Glenelg, MD), Nick Shaffer (MethactonNJ), Ndiaja Seck (Penn Wood, PA), and Josh McLemore (Downingtown, PA) could all make their marks hear.  But what about New York?  Besides the usual suspects from Boys and Girls, you have Wyatt Brooks (North Rockland), current NY #6 trying to break through 36secs.  Will the next top sprinter please stand up?

600m

Highlights

While the 300m may have some holes from the Empire State, the 600m more than makes up for it.  Kermani Mighty (Clara Barton) is the top returner in the event from last year, with his 1:21, but Jasheen Holloway (Paul Robeson) and Shavanes Robinson (Boys and Girls) will have something to say about 2016.  Both are close enough to make an impact this early in the season.
