State of the Action:

This could get very interesting.  Noah Affolder took down the newly minted State Champion Ben Petrella at Manhattan, but hasn't had the pace pushed since then.  With Petrella looking at NXN and Affolder at Foot Locker, the two will never meet in XC head to head again.  But Aidan Tooker is just as strong, and has redemption on his mind, so this race could get very interesting.  Both have raced well here before, and both had significant gaps in their racing schedules this Fall.  At the moment, the race is still up for grabs, but it looks to be a duel out front once again.  Either would have to look under 15:30 to grab a class course record, and if they push eachother, that's quite the possibility.

Behind them, there is a slew of contenders.  Dan Schaffer was the next fastest athlete in the merge behind the big guns, and could push even higher here.  Noah Carey will be looking to take over Section 2 after Tooker's graduation, but could jumpstart that role here with a great race.  Conor Lundy is priming for a big post-season run, and he could challenge for the lead as well.  Eion Nohilly knows the course well, and it could be a difference maker here.
