Lindsey Wilson College racewalker Amanda Johnson, of Morganfield, finished 8th in the 101st Millrose Games 1-Mile Racewalk at Madison Square Garden Friday night. Johnson walked a personal best 8:03.86 to set a new LWC record. Teresa Vaill of Walk USA was the overall winner in 7:01.77. Her father, Douglas Johnson, finished 8th in the Men's 1-Mile Racewalk as well in 7:10.99. Ricardo Vergara, of the South Texas Walkers was the overall Men's winner in 6:29.92. Both events served as the USATF 1-Mile Indoor National Racewalk Championship.
