| Note:
Julia Flower commanded a quick pace early, leading into the first
800m. The top racers in the field wouldn't yield, going with the
Section 2 standout. But the course doesn't reward speed in the early
stages, and Flower would drop back. In her place, Abbey Wheeler was
ready to capitalize. Wheeler is coming off one of the most impressive
races of her life, and had the Wheels (pun intended) to go for it.
Danielle Jordan saw Wheeler make her move, and hung on. Both finished
nearly a minute before third place. |

Notes:
Shenendehowa is one of the top teams in the state, and their depth
through the first half showed why. Running without two of their top 7,
they held strong through the back hills to finish with the lowest score
of the day. However, they were second overall in the merge, although
with the weather variations, that may not be entirely indicative of
their true potential. In second, Elmira held off John Jay-Cross River
in a challenging field.
