Signs Of State's Stars and Storylines Highlight The Crusader Classic

Girls Division 1 Individual

Notes: Jessica Lawson was cruising thorugh the first mile, not concerned with the people in front of her. She knew the race would be decided in the second half, on the hills. Seeing her opening, she chased Diana Vizza through Mile 2, and broke away as the course emerged downhill. She powered away from there on out, dashing any memories of her sidelined Spring Season. She hammered through the finish line to crush the course record, and become the first girl in the nation to break a 150 speed rating. Behind her, Vizza held on to an impressive finish, with the home team racking in the third place finisher.

Girls Division 1 Team

Notes: Nobody knows the course better than the hometeam. While other teams got out fast, Monroe-Woodbury went out strong. They maintained even pacing through the first half, and had the energy reserves in the back end to power past the competition. They would go on to win the race, and eventually the merge.
