One thing is for sure; Sammy Watson did not disappoint. In her first race of the weekend, only the Class Final, Watson threw down a meet record, and NY #7 All-Time performance, blowing open the field. Amanda Crawford even put in a NY #26 All-Time mark to try and chase down Watson, to no avail. Coming back for the Fed Finals, Watson would have some more race fatigue in her legs, but the results would be no different. Closing the gap at the 300m mark, Watson edged her way down the straightaway, to take the win. Jinjer Pearce took the D2 Title, overtaking a strong field of single lap sprinters. |
