Arianne Strunkey knew she would have to race hard to get a decent lane selection in the finals. Imani Solan had already overtaken her in the trials of the event, and was on her shoulder in the Fed Finals. On her left was Brenessa Thompson,the reigning champ in the event, and already a State Champ. Strunkey took it out hard from the gun, and came away with the win in a very close race. Down in D2, it was Courtney McNeil to come away with the State Title. |
