While many would have called 2014 the year of the Girls Shot Put, 2015 would like to have a word with those people. Three girls are over the 46-foot barrier, and it is anybody's chance to win. Alexis Daniels is the reigning Indoor Champ, hitting NY #2 All-Time. She looks to be ramping up as she did indoors, and who knows if that meet record is safe. Mariah Mays is the Dual State Leader for the throws this Spring, and could put one out there that the others can't catch. Rounding out the top field is Kristin Insigno, who is less than 2 inches out of the state leading mark. Valerie Hinds is close enough to disrupt to the top trio, and Shayla Lyons should hold down the fort in D2. | |||||
