Albrecht - 4:59.8 (NY #11)
With the graduation of Katie Lembo (Penfield), Autumn Albrecht (Brockport) is looking to take over the long distance scene in Rochester.  She is one of only twelve girls to have broken 5:00 minutes already in the 1500m, winning her event this past weekend.

Noble - 6.55 (NY #1, US #12), Hearst - 6.58 (NY #3, US #19) - Moore - 6.64 (NY # 9)
Section 5 feels the need for speed.  Reigning State Champ Carnel Noble (Greece-Olympia) took on a loaded field, and came away the state leader.  He will be looking to defend his crown against strong talent throughout NYS.  In Section rivals include Byron Hearst (Greece-Arcadia), teammate Tremaine Moore (Olympia), and the surprise double state champ in the spring, Andre Hunter (Charlotte).

Top Athletes - Overall
Deangelis - 37-2  (NY #1, US #8)
A new contender for a state title has arisen, as Darcy Deangelis (Spencerport) swept up the competition in a personal best on her first set of jumps of the season.  Her mark puts her at the top of the state leaderboards, and a strong contender for a break out year.

Top Athletes - Overall
Hearst - 35.41 (NY #4, US #6)    Rogers - 35.82 (NY #5, US #9)
With 9 individuals already under 36secs, we know this will be a year for the sprints.  Section 5 is picking up the slack upstate, putting two individuals onto that exclusive list.  Byron Hearst (Greece-Arcadia) pulled away at the end of the race to win, but Calvary Rogers (Greece-Odyssey) was close enough to be in contention for next time.

Top Athletes - Overall
Camillaci - 11-0 (NY #2, US #12)
The pole vault is a picky event, with many athletes soaring high overhead.  Zoe Camillaci (Hilton) was on everyones radar last year as a state contender, and with another year under her belt, that consideration grows even larger.
