New York, NY - Consider the Empire State back in business. Despite the Jim Mitchell Invitational being rescheduled for sunday night, the times were no less fast. Thanks to the resurfaced Armory track, competition was better than ever at the meet named after Bronxville Head Coach Jim Mitchell. We decided to list out the new state leaders, just to give you an idea of the quality of performances. Enjoy below.

New State/National Leaders
Benjamin Bonhurst of Smithtown West extends his state leading throw in the shot put, with a 62-8 throw. That's also US #1
Denise Branch of Cardozo is only the second girl in the country to break 3mins in the 1000m, when she hit 2:59.61
Tom Meehan of Eastport-South Manor is one of the state's top Milers, but bringing it down to the 1000m, he went US #10 with his 2:36.33
The race heard around the country, as Zola Golden of Arlington edged out Symone Darius of New Rochelle in the 300m, to take US #1 and US #2, as well as the first girls to break 40secs in the event for 2013.
Defending State Champ Darrell Jones of Monroe-Woodbury barely missed state leading, but hit US #9, NY #2 with this 45-4.25 jump.
Anisa Toppin of Bay Shore took home the state leading mark, also US #4, over in the triple jump pits.
Her teammate, Imani McGee, went US #8 in the Long Jump, but couldn't match the ridiculous national leader set in NY the night before.
New Rochelle, utilizing an alternate leg for Rasheeda Bull, blasted the girls 4x200m, setting a new US #1 in 1:42.79
Kingston's late entry into the 4xMile Relay proved well worth the drive, as they took home the signiature event of the meet.
