Fordham Christmas Classic 2011

The Fordham track & field teams hosted nine others squads this evening in the annual Christmas Classic, held at the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse on Friday. The Rams had another solid performance as a group with six first place finishes on the night.

Bronx, N.Y. – Wagner junior thrower #Sheena Taylor# (Twinsburg, OH / Detriot Mercy) set a new school record in the weight throw event at the Fordham Christmas Classic. Taylor's measure of 17.76m surpassed the four year old record of 16.71m previously held by Ashley Simon and was an ECAC qualifying distance. Taylor's record breaking performance earned her top accolades for the event while also placing second in the shot put with a toss of 12.32m.

Bronx, N.Y. – Wagner junior #Thomas Iannacone# (Havertown, PA / St. Joe's Prep) took top honors in the 3000m run at the 2010 Fordham University Christmas Classic in the final competition for the Wagner track & field team until the New Year.

Competing in two meets in three days, the St. John's track & field team put together yet another outstanding team performance at the Fordham Christmas Classic on Friday night in Riverdale, N.Y.

Bronx, N.Y. - The Long Island University men's and women's track teams competed in the Fordham Christmas Classic on Friday night at the Lombardi Fieldhouse in the Bronx, N.Y. The Blackbirds continued their early season sucess with a number of top finishes, including the number one spots in both 4x400-meter relay events.
