48th Annual Fort Plain Cross Country Invitational will be held this year on SATURDAY, October 24th at the Fort Plain Sports Complex on the campus of Harry Hoag Elementary School. The venue overlooks the scenic Mohawk Valley. The course is typically fast featuring rolling terrain, mostly on grass and offers a fair but challenging test for all levels of scholastic runners. The courses traverse nearly the same terrain, with the Modified course tallying out to nearly 1.7 miles and the Varsity courses stretching out to 3.0 miles. 

The courses are very spectator friendly with the opportunity to view a majority of the races from one vantage point. If one is feeling adventurous, the whole course can be seen by travelling just a short distance between spots, while seeing the green rolling hills and dales of the historic Mohawk Valley.

Order of Events: 

  • 8:45     Coaches Meeting near the Starting Area

  • 9:00    Modified Boys (1.7 Miles) - Unlimited Entries (Separate Chute) 
  • 9:01    Modified Girls (1.7 Miles) - Unlimited Entries (Separate Chute)
  • 9:30    Varsity Girls Division I - Small Schools (3.0 Miles) - Limited to 7 Entries per school
  • 10:00    Varsity Girls Division II - Large Schools (3.0 Miles) - Limited to 7 Entries per school 
  • 10:30    Varsity Boys Division I - Small Schools (3.0 Miles) - Limited to 7 Entries per school
  • 11:00    Varsity Boys Division II - Large Schools (3.0 Miles) - Limited to 7 Entries per school
  • 11:30    Junior Varsity Boys (3.0 Miles) - Unlimited Entries (Separate Chute)
  • 11:31    Junior Varsity Girls (3.0 Miles) - Unlimited Entries (Separate Chute)

**An unlimited number of entries will be allowed for the Modified and JV Races**

AWARDS:

  • Individual Medals will be awarded to the top 30 finishers in all races.
  • Team Trophies/Plaques will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd Place teams in both the Modified and JV Races.
  • Team Trophies/Plaques will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place teams in both divisions of the Boys and Girls Varsity races.
  • Winning Varsity Teams will also receive Meet Championship T-Shirts (Coach Also!)

Amenities: 

  • Concession Stand will be available with a variety of food and drinks for sale.
  • Performance Meet T-Shirts will be on sale. 
  • Port-a-johns will be open and available at various spots on the campus.

Entry Fee:

$170.00 per school. 

$90 per single boys or girls teams.
