The Loucks Games held in New York saw a southern invasion for this year's meet with a talented contigency from Virginia coming to compete. Meanwhile, looking for a meet with great competition to replace the absence of the Southern Track Classic, more than a handful of distance stars from Virginia went as far north as Connecticut to compete in the Hartford Public Invitational.

What hasn\'t Nicole Leach done during this remarkable junior season? Well, just more of the same, and the same is excellent. She won the 400 in 54.75 after a 55.20 qualifier. She took 3rd in the 200 in 24.98, with qualifiers of 25.76 and 25.48. And she helped her 4x400 to a 2nd place 3:57.76. Teammate Latavia Thomas took the 800 2:13.03. Archbishop Ryan\'s Sara Brown was 6th in the 100, going 12.85. And the Ryan boys took 4th in the 4x800 in 8:15.38.
