Meet Information
We invite you to the sixth annual Battle of Hynes Hill. Each year Union-Endicott tries to host the best of the best at the Junior High level. Please consider joining us for a prestigious 7th and 8th grade cross country meet which will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at the Ann G. McGuinness Elementary School on Rt. 26 in Endicott, NY. This year we are also introducing a 6th grade 1 mile run for youth programs!
The Races:
Both the 7th and 8th grade races will be 1.7 Miles and scored with teams of 3 with 4th and 5th runners displacing. The race starts and finishes on flats and has rolling hills in the middle. There is also a flat 6th grade 1 mile youth run right before the awards ceremony at 10:55am, you must register 6th graders on NY Milesplit.
Awards:
Teams: 1st and 2nd place trophy. For all 7th and 8th grade races.
Individuals: T-shirts to top ten finishers in each 7th and 8th grade race.
Ribbons to 50th place in each race past T-shirt winners.
Race Schedule:
8:50 AM - Coaches Meeting at the finish line.
9:00 AM - 7th Grade Boys.
9:30 AM - 8th Grade Boys.
10:00 AM - 7th Grade Girls.
10:30 AM - 8th Grade Girls.
10:55 AM - 6th Grade Boys and Girls (combined).
11:10 AM - Awards on the Stage.
Location:
The course is at Ann G. McGuinness Elementary School, on Rt. 26 in Endicott, NY. The address for your GPS, is: 1301 Union Center Maine Hwy, Endicott, NY 13760Runners can be dropped off at the Ann G. McGuinness parking lot. Buses and overflow parking will be directed to park in the lot next door.
Entry Fees and Deadlines:
See the registration form in attachment below. Entry fees are $175 max per school, or $60 per race or $25 per runner. Entries will be due on NYMillesplit no later than Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at 11pm.
