Performance List and Final Instructions
Change in meet times   JV Races start at 8am, the entry cards due at 7:30am.
Varsity Field and Races start at 12:00pm All scratches and changes due by 11am.
The Performance List is linked below.   In the invitational events, all the athletes highlighted in green did not make the cut off.  Now if someone scratches up until 11am we will notify the next runner on list..

Due to construction we will not be using the main parking lot for bus drop off.
Bus drop off and pickup and parking will be at Roessleville Elementary.  Please see map below.  The elementary school is located off Central Avenue at 100 California Avenue. Albany, 12205.  Drive straight until you see the discus cage, drop off will be right there and then busses can park in the lot in front of the building.
All tents are to be located in the Roessleville Field to the left of the discus flagging.  "Tent City" is located above the playground heading towards the track.  We will have the PA system facing tent city as well. This is the only area tents can be placed.
Athlete check in will be on the turf half way down the home straight away.  The only entrance will be at the gate on the home side halfway down the straight away.  Please see map link below.

Performance List

Dear Coach:  

     You are invited to participate in The 59th Harry Koch Colonie Relay Carnival to be held Saturday, May 3, 2025.  The meet is sponsored by Colonie High School and the Colonie Track & Field Booster Club.

     The morning meet has non-scoring events for JV and Freshmen athletes and will include 3 girls relays and 3 boys relays, an exhibition 1500m Steeplechase for girls and an exhibition 2000m Steeplechase for boys.  

Entries in the morning meet are unlimited.  

We will give medals as awards to the top 6 teams in each race. 

The morning meet will be using an entry card system.  

4x6 Cards should include:

School Name

Team A, B, C, etc... (No Individual names needed)

Entry Time 

      Schools are allowed only one entry in most relays in the afternoon meet. 

New in 2024: Schools can enter a 2nd Varsity Relay in the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4 and 4x8 Relays. The 2nd relay is eligible for the 1-6 awards, but cannot score team points for their school.  We will score and give awards to the top six places in each event.   Schools Must Enter The Varsity Meet at NY.Milesplit.com.

     There is a blanket cost of $300.00 for schools bringing both boys and girls teams, or $200 for a school bringing either team.  You may enter an athlete in both the morning meet and afternoon meet.  However, no athlete may be entered in more than 4 events for the day.

     Added in 2022: TheThrowers 4 x 100m Relay.  All 4 athletes must be throwers for your team.  However, they do not all need to be competing in the throws at The Colonie Relays.  It will be a Non-Scoring event with awards to the top 6 teams.  Matching Uniforms Must Be Worn.

COLONIE RELAYS INSTRUCTIONS

(1)  Spikes no longer than 1/4 may be used.

(2)  All running relays are comprised of 4 runners. 

**Including the Girls Shuttle Hurdles.  (New in 2024)

      All field events are comprised of 3 participants.

(3)  Entries for the Varsity Meet (afternoon) need to be made on-line at

      NY.MileSplit.com.  

      Entries must be submitted by Thursday, May 1st @10:00pm.  

      The deadlines for scratches and/or changes will be at 12:00pm on May 3rd.

(4)  Bathrooms/Porta-A-Johns will be available at the track.

      Refreshments will be sold from the concession stand and various venders on site. 

      Colonie Relay Dri-Fit T-shirts will be available.

(5)  The track infield can be used for athlete warm-up.  Please do not congregate or 

       set up tents on the infield. 

(6)  Invitational Events:

1. All entries for the Invitational 100M Dash, Invitational  1500M/1600M, 

          and Invitational 400M Hurdles should be made on-line.  

Only qualifying times from this years indoor and outdoor seasons will 

          be allowed.  Please note on your entry where/when your entry time was 

          achieved.  There is a 3 athlete limit per school for each Invitational event.

1. The number of entrants accepted in the 1500M/1600M Run

will be at the discretion of the meet director.

1. The top 12 entrants will be accepted in the 100M Dash (2 Heat Final).  

If a tie exists for the 12th athlete, the qualifier will be decided by a draw. 

The top 12 entrants will be accepted in the 400M Hurdles (2 Heat Final).  

If a tie exists for the 12th athlete, the qualifier will be decided by a draw.

1. If an accepted athlete is scratched from the event before 12:00am the next athlete on the list will be moved into the race.

1. Once the Invitational fields have been finalized, any scratches from those events will result in the athlete being scratched from the rest of the meet.

(7)  Field Events & Running Events:

1. The deadline for Field Event AND RUNNING EVENT scratches and/or changes will be at 11:00am.

1. As in past years, an effort will be made to allow people taking SATs to 

participate provided their coach informs the official that the athlete is taking an exam.  However, no late arriving athlete will be allowed to jump or throw once the event has ended. Throwers will be scheduled into later flights if they are taking SATs.  The SATs are expected to end by 11:00am this year.

1. Practice jumps/throws will be allowed for late SAT arrivals.  However, once the event is concluded, nobody will be allowed to jump or throw.  Once a crossbar is raised, it cannot be lowered for a late SAT entrant.

1. The long jump and triple jump will use an open pit format.  The Boys will jump into the North pit.  The Girls will jump into the South pit.  

The long jump will begin at 12:00 and last until 2:30 with 3 jumps per athlete.  Triple jumpers will then be given 30 minutes to warm up. 

The Triple Jump will begin at 3:00 at the latest.  

If the long jump ends early, the triple jump will start early.

1. The pole vault will be conducted as a combined girls/boys event with the bar starting at 6 for girls and 7 for boys.  The bar is raised continuously by 6.

1. New this year: The high jump will be conducted on 2 pits (girls/boys)

          The starting height for girls will be 3 9 (up by 3 UNTIL 4' THEN UP BY 2").  

The starting height for boys will be (4'9 UP BY 3" TO 5' THEN  up by 2')
