Kiwanis Glover Cross Country Invitational

Dear Coach,
You and your cross country teams are invited to
participate in the Kiwanis Glover Cross Country Invitational at Maple Hill High
School on Saturday, October 8th.This invitational is part of our 30th Annual Maple Hill Fall
Sports Weekend, which also includes soccer, volleyball, and tennis. We hope
that you will be able to attend!
Race Schedule:
8:30 - Coaches meeting at the starting line
9:00 - Girls Modified (unlimited entry)
9:30 - Boys Modified (unlimited entry)
10:00 - Girls Division I Varsity (7 member team
limit)
10:30 - Boys Division I Varsity (7 member team
limit)
11:00 - Girls Division II Varsity (7 member team
limit)
11:30 - Boys Division II Varsity (7 member team
limit)
12:00 - Girls JV (unlimited entry)
12:30 - Boys JV (unlimited entry)
**All varsity teams will be split into two divisions (Division I and Division
II) based on the 2021-22 classification numbers.The top half (largest schools) will represent
Division I and the bottom half (smallest schools) will represent Division II.**
The Kiwanis
Glover Invitational is open to all schools, both Division I and Division
II.However, the invitational setup and
race schedule is dependent on the number of schools who participate.Although we plan on offering two separate
divisions for varsity boys and girls, we reserve judgment to adjust the
invitational setup when we know exactly how many schools will be
participating.It's possible, due to a
low number of schools participating, that we run one varsity boys and one
varsity girls race instead of two.
Course:
Modified-
2.0 miles
JV & Varsity - 3.1 miles
Both courses
consist of grass fields and dirt trails through wooded areas.
Awards:
Team and individual awards may be picked up after
the conclusion of the last race at the back entrance of the school.
Entries:
Varsity races are limited to 7 runners.All other races have unlimited entries.Teams must enter a varsity team in order to
enter a JV team.Please fill out the
attached form to confirm entry.Entries
will also be entered on milesplit.
Entry Fees:
$150 - Both boys and girls ($100 for Patroon
Conference teams)
$80 - Only boys or girls
Concessions:
There will be a concession stand with food and
beverages provided by the Maple Hill Athletic Booster Club.
Trainer:
There will be a certified athletic trainer on
site
Rain Date:
The rain date for the race will be Monday October
10th, 2022
